Gooseberry fry:

Gooseberry Fry

  • Wash gooseberry and remove their seeds.
  • Put oil in frying pan and heat it. Put cumin seeds and carom seeds in oil.
  • After frying them add coriander powder, turmeric powder and re chilli powder.
  • Now add gooseberry and mix well and add salt in mixture.
  • Fry gooseberry 2-3 min. Now cover the pan and let it be in low flame for 5 min.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves. 

Gooseberry jam:

  • Add the gooseberry in water and cook gooseberries on low flame till they become tender.
  • Strain the water and take out seeds from gooseberries. Blend the gooseberries in the mixer and make paste.
  • Now take steel pan. Put the gooseberries paste and add sugar. Cook on medium flame. Stir the mixture and finally gooseberry jam is ready.

  • Wash the gooseberry and remove the seeds. Chop the gooseberries for half cup.
  • Blend the chopped gooseberries.
  • Add half cup of water for smooth blending.
  • Finally strain using strainer and add one spoon of honey.

  • We need to remove the gooseberry seed and chop it.
  • Steam the chopped gosseberry for 5-7 min.
  • Heat the oil and saute urdal dal and tomatoes in pan.
  • Blend the steamed gooseberries, roasted tomatoes, urdal dal and cumin seed in mixer grinder.
  • Finally add salt.

Gooseberry raita:

  • Remove the seed from gooseberry.
  • Blend the raw gooseberries, grated coconut and green chilli to mixture.
  • Mix it with curd and add grated cucumber and salt to it.

How many gooseberry can be eaten in a day?

    It is recommended to eat 1-2 gooseberry per day.

What is the best time to drink amla juice?

    Drink it early in the morning on an empty stomach. Avoid drinking at night because it contain cold potency.

Who should not eat gooseberry?
