    Cortisol is a stress hormone. This hormone, which maintains blood glucose levels, is high in the morning and gradually decreases as the day approaches. It will decrease drastically in the middle of the night. Then it increases in the morning. So diabetic patients should have extra in the morning. This hormone can suddenly increase over time, especially if you are under stress.

    Being under pressure to finish work on time, not being able to balance work and personal life, debt crisis, etc. can lead to depression due to various reasons. A kind of fear when the same situation persists. 

    If you go to sleep in such a state of mind, stress cortisol will increase in the morning. Because cortisol levels rise in the morning, insulin production is affected. It has direct effect on diabetic patients in particular. When stress hormones become overactive, the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas can become dysfunctional. They may decrease the amount of insulin they make. As a result, the glucose levels in the body may decrease. This can increase the risk for diabetics.

    Elevated levels of the cortisol hormone can affect not only diabetics but others as well. Problems like high blood pressure, anxiety, heart attack, brain stroke can occur as a result of the stress caused by the increase in cortisol hormone in the morning. The situation may worsen for people with chronic diseases, physical pain, depression and lung diseases.

Tips to follow by diabetics patient:

  • Yoga or exercise can be done to prevent stress caused by cortisol hormone secretion early in the morning.
  • Eat foods rich in anti-oxidants.
  • Diabetic patients should take medicines on time.
  • Deep sleep at night is essential. If there is a problem of insomnia, then the methods to correct it should be dealt with.
  • Avoid drinking, smoking and other addictive habits.
  • Meditation can calm the mind.
  • It is essential to take adequate rest every day.
    Setting goals and expectations and obsessing over them can lead to stress. It should be planned and acted upon without giving chance for it.

    The number of people suffering from diabetes is increasing every year. Certain dietary mistakes can also increase the risk of developing diabetes. In order for the body to convert the food it eats into energy, the internal organs must function smoothly.

 Avoid these habits that cause diabetes:

    Diabetes occurs especially when the pancreas cannot produce insulin or when the body cannot use the insulin it produces properly. By making some simple lifestyle changes, you can prevent diabetes.

Eating yogurt daily:

    Although yogurt is considered a healthy probiotic food, trying to include it in your daily diet is a mistake. Ayurveda does not recommend to eat curd every day. Eating curd daily can lead to obesity and also seed poor metabolism.

Eating late:

    Many people follow the habit of eating dinner late. As a result, the digestive system is not given enough time. Eating too much at dinner can also lead to delayed digestion. Eating too much at night can also overload the liver. Slows down metabolism. Eventually the teeth will adapt to other health problems including malnutrition.

Eating too much:

    Food should be consumed in moderation. Many people follow the habit of consuming the food on the plate without wasting it even if they feel that they have eaten enough for their stomach. It leads to overeating. In the beginning, the habit of eating less food on the plate should be followed.

     After that, food can be exchanged according to need. So food is not wasted. There is no compulsion to overeat. Eating too much even after hunger pangs can lead to problems like obesity, cholesterol, and digestive disorders.

Eating without appetite:

    Many people have the habit of eating without paying attention to their body's signals. Even if they are not hungry, they will eat snacks, juice and many snacks within a certain time. Food is the same. Some people have a habit of eating when their stomach is already full and not hungry.

     Even if they don't feel hungry for two to three hours, they keep on snacking. Eating like that reduces insulin sensitivity. It can interfere with nutrient absorption. Increases intestinal inflammation. It eventually leads to diabetes.
